2022 NCAA DIII men's tennis champions
The 2022 NCAA DIII men's tennis championships concluded Sunday, with Middlebury's Stan Morris winning the singles national championship and Case Western's James Hopper and Jonathan Powell claiming the doubles title at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla.
Morris won his championship match over Johns Hopkins' Vishnu Joshi in three sets 5-7, 7-5, 6-2. The Case Western duo won their championship match over Emory's Andrew Esses and Nolan Shah in two sets 6-4, 6-1.
In team action, UChicago won the DIII men's tennis team title in dominant fashion, defeating Case Western 5-2.

DIII men's tennis singles results, doubles finals underway
Today is the last day of the 2021-22 NCAA DIII men's tennis season, with the singles championship and doubles semifinals taking place at Noon ET at the USTA National Campus in Orlando, Fla. The doubles finals will start at 2 p.m. ET after the conclusion of the semifinals.

Middlebury's Stan Morris def. Johns Hopkins' Vishnu Joshi 5-7, 7-5, 6-2.
Joshi defeated Tufts' Isaac Gorelik in three sets in the semifinals while Morris dropped the first set 6-3 to Pacific's Mason Tran before winning the second and third sets 6-0 to advance to the national championship.

UChicago defeats Case Western Reserve to win the DIII men's tennis national title
Chicago took down Case Western Wednesday in dominant fashion to secure the DIII men's tennis national championship. The Maroons got off to a quick start by securing two out of the three doubles points before singles got underway. Chicago then only gave up one singular singles match as they cruised to the title, winning the total match 5-2.
No. 1 singles player for the Maroons, Christian Alshon, clinched the title with a booming service ace and a 6-3 third-set victory over Case Western's No. 1 player, James Hopper.
